Meeting with the USA Ambassador

June 16 at 18.00 the United States Ambassador to Kazakhstan , George A. Krol visited our library. The meeting was dated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the US and Kazakhstan.

Krol led the US diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan in 2015 . The new ambassador put in the courtyard of the embassy in Astana real Kazakh yurt , mastered spoken Kazakh, learned to cook oriental pilaf and with pleasure drinks mare's milk .
During the visit, Mr Krol addressed the participants of the meeting with a welcoming speech , after which , in a confidential conversation , answered questions from the audience .
The visit of such a distinguished guest is a good indicator of partnership and warm friendly relations between the library and the US Embassy . In 2003, we became the first library in Kazakhstan , where the US State Department had started a program to establish American Corners . Now in its second decade , this partnership project is developing steadily.
