It is noteworthy that the opening of the exhibition coincided with the International Education Week, which is widely held in Kazakhstan from 13 to 20 November. The mission of the International Education Week is not only to tell the young people where and how abroad can receive a quality education, but also to involve the younger generation of Kazakhstan to world culture, to cultivate media world of historical memory.

For the French First World remains the bloodiest war in its history, and despite the fact that they came out of it victorious, the victory cost them too much. Since 2014 in France, implemented a global memorial project "Mission century, the First World War", in which, and in France and abroad, held a variety of events, dedicated to one of the largest and bloodiest conflict in human history. 

The main component of the French memorial project - traveling "14-18" interactive exhibition. It is based on technology that combines the art of the poster, and digital content. Created under the auspices of the exhibition GaîtéLyrique - a new agency in Paris, designed to carry a digital culture to the masses.

Arranged in chronological order, the exhibition "14-18" monitors the events of the First World War at various angles, reflecting a great experience just experienced the war on different continents. With an educational focus, the exhibition tells about a lot of fronts, from the north of France to the eastern front, the numerous tests, such as, for example, as the experience of the colonies, faced with extremely harsh reality of their metropolis, or the ambiguity of perception of events by those who fought on the front and those who were in the rear. 

Within a few years the digital exhibition "14-18" has visited many countries and attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors all over the world. Now visitors of our library have a unique opportunity to experience the rarity of the exhibition materials and make your own opinion about it. The exhibition is open in the lobby of the second floor, in front of the French reading room, until the end of November. Welcome!
