Love to programming

 From 17 to 19 November, as part of International Education Week, the American Corner library held training seminars on programming with the teachers of the school of Almaty "Love to Code" - Dina Mukasheva and Eldos Balgabekov. The event was attended by representatives of JSC "National ICT Holding" Zerde "- Laura Zhumanalieva.
 
Company "Love to Code" was founded in November 2014 by four friends. According to the creators of the School: "We came to the idea of teaching kids programming for two reasons: first, each of us understands what programming - a key skill of the XXI century, to be able to program now - as to be able to write in the 19th century; Secondly, we believe that in order to effectively develop the economy of Kazakhstan - we have to be innovative and technological, and here Programming - universal ability to create high added value in the country. "
His first day in Ust-Kamenogorsk company representatives «Love to Code» started with a visit to the East Kazakhstan Regional Center of New Technologies in Education Department of Education VKO. The guys had a constructive conversation with the leadership of the Centre, which resulted in an agreement to hold online seminars on programming for computer science teachers of secondary schools in the area.
 
Then Dina and Eldos held working meetings with the teachers of informatics and representatives of children's city center. Guys talked about themselves, their school, shared interesting programs and effective tool in the teaching of computer science. Training was attended by over forty teachers and leaders of children's clubs technical focus Stations of young technicians, teenage domestic clubs, Youth Intelligence Center of library.
Day ended with a friendly dinner c IT-city activists in the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant «Imbeer`». Young people have shared with each other their experience and initiatives discussed the current state, problems and prospects of IT-education. 
18-19 November, in spite of the severe frosts, to apply to the Dina and Eldos came enthusiastic high school students programming. Classes are held in «Bootcamp» mode (a short but intensive course). For a short time the young bootcampery learned to write real code to create your own cool apps, games and animations. Own a small session on the theme "Women in Tech». Dina Mukusheva very convincingly told that such a traditionally male-dominated fields such as science and technology, is actually very interesting and inspiring lesson for the girls. Dean urged girls boldly breaking outdated stereotypes and actively try yourself in the STEM (fusion of science, technology, engineering and mathematics).
Days workshops just flew like a whirlwind, in the same breath. Vigorous themselves in love with programming, faculty «Love to Code» generously shared a large array of IT-knowledge and skills. Dina and Eldos literally "lit" our girls and boys , who knows, maybe  from these guys grow future Tima Berners Lee and Steve Jobs!
