December 20 at 11.00, on the eve of the Catholic Christmas, in our library will host the opening of the exhibition "The Brothers Grimm. Life and work "from the funds of the Memorial Museum of the Brothers Grimm (Kassel, Germany). This is a joint project of the library and the Goethe-Institute Almaty. The exhibition will open Mr. Jonathan Weinberg - Assistant for Economic Affairs of the German Embassy in Astana.

The exhibition includes books, documents and manuscripts Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, rare photographs and illustrations of famous fairy tales. Our Pushkin Library was the first library to host this exhibition, previously presented exhibits of art museums.
The children presented at the opening, showed excellent knowledge of the Brothers Grimm fairy tales, happy to participate in the quiz, and at the end of the event together looked favorite fairy-tale on the screen.
