Youth contest of oratory in three languages

Within the framework of the republican cultural project "The Trinity of Languages", in honor of the 100th anniversary of the national-democratic movement "Alash" and the action "One country is one book", on May 12 at 15.00 in the American Cultural Center of our library there will be held the first tri-linguistic contest of oratory skills "Azattyk" Dauysy / The Voice of Freedom. The contest is designed to promote the popularization of Kazakh literature and oratory through improving public speaking.

The main goal of the competition is to increase the motivation for the realization of the Kazakh idea of ??the triune language: we develop the Kazakh language, support the Russian language and study English.

Recall, according to the decision of the jury of the Republican action "One country - one book" the main book of 2017 for general reading in Kazakhstan recognized works of the poet-democrat, Alashov S. Toraigyrov.

Regulations on the competition "Azattyk dauysy" was published on the website of the library and brought to educational institutions in March. At present, 35 applications of students and high school students are submitted. The participants of the competition will present an oral trilingual public speech on the theme "The Voice of Freedom. Sultanmakhmut Toraygyrov ": reading a fragment of the work of S. Toraigyrov, interesting facts from the life of the poet and the final conclusion. The duration of the message is no more than five minutes, during which the participant will demonstrate his oratorical abilities in Kazakh, Russian and English.

Winners and prize-winners of the Contest will be determined in two age groups: 13-16 years old, 17-22 years old. As a result of the Competition, they are awarded with diplomas I, II, III degrees and diplomas. As part of the jury - Tatyana Kolesnikova, senior lecturer of the department "Foreign languages", vice-president of the National Association of English Teachers of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Abdullina Lucia Ildarovna, Candidate of Philology, Professor of the Chair of Journalism and Social and Humanitarian Sciences; Zhailibaeva Meruert is a specialist in the information-bibliographic department of the Pushkin library.
