Today, however, our library visited the Ambassador of Canada to Kazakhstan Shawn Stail. Kabiba Akzhigitova, director of the library introduced the guests with halls and with the resources of the library.

Canada's Ambassador to Kazakhstan Shawn Stail :
- In Kazakhstan, I have two years, but this is my first visit to East Kazakhstan. The purpose of my visit, meeting with the local authorities and the population, in order to find an opportunity for mutually beneficial cooperation.
I am very impressed by your library. And above all I wanted to say that I feel at home here. Since childhood, when I was growing up in Canada, public libraries has always been not only a place where books are stored, but also the favorite place where people gather, where they share with each other, communicate. Some people habitually think that the library need to be quiet, but here, in these libraries, you can communicate, find and discover something new to talk to. I believe that this library is an open place for all people, a center for training.
Canada's Ambassador to Kazakhstan Shawn Stail expressed his hope that the cooperation projects in Canada and Kazakhstan, and there is a project for cooperation:
- I hope that we really can do a lot together.
