March 14 at 12.00 in our library took place the grand opening of the creative platform MakerSpace - a joint project of the regional library and the US Embassy in Kazakhstan. The ceremony was attended by the deputy head of the Department of Culture, Archives and Documentation of the East Kazakhstan region Raushan Kapasovna Nurmuhanova and the adviser of the US ambassador for press, culture and education Anthony Pahigiyan.

The main idea of the MakerSpace project meets the objectives set in the Message "The Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness" of the President of Kazakhstan N.Nazarbayev to the country: to pay great attention to the formation of IT-knowledge, to develop such promising industries as 3D-print, to implement the program "Digital Kazakhstan" .
The platform MakerSpace offers its users a three-dimensional printer and scanner, modern computers-monoblocks, a set of 3D-pens, fascinating engineering sets, etc. Here everyone can easily master 3D printing, learn the basics of programming robots, try their hand at physics and electronics, To feel real aesthetic pleasure from working with kinetic sand, plastic multi-colored test and other materials for creativity and self-realization.
The basis of the movement of the makers is mentoring, today the library has prepared a team of mentors (mentors, trainers) who will always give advice and instruction or help to master new equipment and new activities. To do this, on the platform MakerSpace libraries for all comers will be held express courses, master classes, exhibitions, creative meetings and work themed circles.
We invite everyone who has not lost interest in the new, together to learn, create and experiment!
