His large-scale search and research work contributed to the creation of scientific Abai , Abai museum opening in Semey , the first of which he became director . He was a researcher , writer, poet , playwright , translator and a  teacher. Today there are more than a thousand Kayum Mukhamedkhanov’s  documents  .
