Uniform Computer Information Network

As a methodological center for rural public branches, Library. AS Pushkin is implementing large-scale project "Integrated Information Computer Network  central regional libraries." The project is supported by the regional akimat of East Kazakhstan region. The purpose of the project - to raise the level of information services for the population of the East Kazakhstan region on the basis of new information technologies in the activities of the central district and city libraries.
The project in the first phase (2003-2004 gg.) 10 central regional libraries received equipment. In each library were installed satellite station, 2 computers, a scanner, black-and-white and color printers, copiers, TV and STB. The team of regional librarians were trained in basic courses in basic computer skills, Internet, computer and web design on a variety of specialized training. Currently, residents of these areas have access to the Internet, rapid electronic communication and remote maintenance. For the villagers running service of electronic delivery of the necessary documents from the funds of our library or - with our assistance - of the information resources of the National Library of Kazakhstan and foreign databases.
